2 killed when car rams into trailer

Two persons, including a toll tax employee, were killed when a car, trying to escape the toll plaza booth, rammed into a trailer in Gopiganj area, police said today.

The incident took place late last night when Indrajeet Upadhyaya (55) demanded toll tax from the passengers of the car at Lalanagar toll plaza, Circle Officer Jitendra Dubey said.

The car speeded up in an effort to escape paying the tax, Dubey said, adding, it rammed into a trailer before crushing Upadhyaya.

28-year-old Gulab Giri (28) was also killed in the incident, he said.

Two more persons, Sonu Pandey and Shlok Mishra were injured in the accident and have been admitted to the hospital, the officer said.
 

He said that a case has been lodged against the car-borne youths.
