2 labourers drown in Raj

Two labourers were today drowned in a water tank in Rajasthan's Hanumangarh district.

Sandeep (17) and Sardul Singh (35) were working in a farm of one Buta Singh and in the evening, they prepared and had tea near the water tank, having a depth of 15 ft. When they were returning back to the work, Sandeep accidentally slipped and fell into the water tank, SHO Sangaria police station Mohar Singh said.

Sardul jumped into the tank to rescue him but both of them drowned.

The bodies have been taken to a nearby government hospital for postmortem, he added.
