The incident was reported from near Janpath market last night and the victim was an assistant training manager of the hotel in New Delhi district. The girl then raised an alarm and police personnel on duty apprehended them.

Four foreigners, who claimed to be officials of embassies of three African countries, were allegedly involved in the case.

Two of them, a Yemeni and an Algerian, produced diplomatic identity cards and were let off, police said.

However, the two Libyan nationals did not have diplomatic cards and were arrested.

A case under sections 509 (outraging the modesty of woman), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention) was registered against them at Connaught Place police station. The charges are bailable.

In her complaint, the woman alleged that she was shown obscene gestures and intimidated by the four persons who were sitting in a car belonging to an embassy near Janpath market.

The embassies could not be contacted for their comments.
