2 men, 2 juveniles held for burglaries

Delhi Police arrested two men and apprehended two juveniles and today claimed to have busted a gang of burglars, recovering 146 mobile phones and a motorcycle from them.

As per police, Mohd Iqbal, alias Babu (22), and Gagan, alias Jaggi (20), both residents of Uttam Nagar, were arrested by the staff of West Delhi district police.

The gang came under the police scanner after a string of robberies in mobile shops in the area in the last couple of days.

"A team was formed to nab the culprits and informers were deployed to track the movements of suspicious characters at night. On Friday, a police team stopped two persons who were on a bike at 9.30 pm," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Ranvir Singh.
 

On questioning, they could not produce any driving license or documents of the bike. On further interrogation, it was found that it was stolen from Ranhola police station. On conducting the search of their airbags, approximately 146 mobile phones were also recovered.

It also came out in the probe that both of them have committed burglary in the area of Uttam Nagar with the help of two juveniles. At their instance, the two juveniles have also been apprehended.
