2 men arrested with leopard skins

Two men were today arrested by the police from Anand Vihar area in east Delhi while trying to sell leopard skins.

Acting on a tip off, accused Daud Amin and Tausif Ahamad, residents of Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district, were caught near Surajmal Vihar Trasport Authority office this morning.

Two leopard skins were also recovered from them.

"A police team stopped their car, bearing J&K registration number, near Surajmal Vihar Transport Authority. Two leopard skins were recovered from them," Ajay Kumar, DCP of East district police, said.

They told police that they were going to sell the leopard skins to a customer.
 

A case has registered in this connection at Anand Vihar police station.

Wild Life authorities have also been informed about the arrest and recovery of leopard skins, the officer said, adding, further investigations are on.
