The two acquitted by Metropolitan Magistrate Gurmohina Kaur included a Delhi-based hotel owner Vinod Mahajan, who allegedly used to keep girls in his hotel and use it as brothel.
The second one acquitted was one of his alleged customer, caught with a girl in compromising position in a hotel room on May 23, 1996 night.
"It is clear that investigation in the present case has not been conducted properly and the police officials have failed to bring any incriminating evidence on record with respect to the involvement of the accused in the case and to prove the prosecution story," the court said, while acquitting the duo from charges under the Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act.
Apart from the duo, six other persons, including three women, were also accused in the case. Out of them, accused Santosh and Upinder had expired during the course of trial and while Sushma, Suman, Vipin Gupta and Minal Shah were declared proclaimed offenders. (MORE)
