2 men slit rickshawpuller's throat over fare dispute

A rickshawpuller serious injured when he his throat was slit allegedly by two men following a dispute over payment of fare in central Delhi's IP Estate area, police said today.

The victim is yet to be identified and at present in the ICU but his condition is stable. He is unfit for statement, they added.

He was attacked yesterday by two men Mohammad Sajid and Sanu, the police said.

The duo were inebriated and had hired a rickshaw from near New Delhi Railway Station. When they reached their destination, instead of paying the decided fare of Rs 20, they insisted on paying Rs 15, the police said.
 

An argument ensued, following which they slit the rickshawpuller's neck, police said, adding they were nabbed within a few hours.
