Army personnel apprehended a
hardcore activist of outlawed United National Liberation Front (UNLF) from Salamkunjil in Manipur's Bishnupur district, a defence press release said.
Sanasam Prem Singh alias Abung (29) of Salamkunjil was arrested and handed over to Kumbi police station, a release added.
In another operation, a combined team of Manipur police commando and 20 Assam Rifles arrested one active member of Kanglei Yawon Kanna Lup (KYKL) on November 9 last from Pallel Bazar in Thoubal district, a state police release said today.
The arrested person was identified as Mayengbam Ango (20) of Langathel Khunou of Manipur's Thoubal district, the release said.
He has been handed over to Kakching police station, the release said.
