Four security personnel were injured and at least two militants were killed in separate attacks in Pakistan's restive northwest today.
Militants targeted a vehicle of the Khasadar militia with an improvised explosive device (IED) in Jamrud area of Khyber Agency, injuring two security personnel.
Officials of the political administration of Khyber Agency said the IED was planted on the Pakistan-Afghanistan highway near a check post.

According to police, the militants fired 12 to15 rockets at the post, after which the policemen retaliated.
Officials said additional policemen were called in to repel the attackers as the personnel deployed at the post did not have enough weapons.
Meanwhile, an IED blast was reported near the posh Hayatabad township in Peshawar. According to police, the bomb was concealed in a garbage depot on Ring Road, which connects Peshawar with Khyber Agency.
