Two minors were crushed to death today after their cycle was hit by a tractor in Ahiraula area here, following which irate locals set several vehicles ablaze, police said.
Saurabh (12) and Shivbal (10), who were on a bicycle, came under the wheels of the tractor after it hit them in Bhakuhi village, Superintendent of Police (City) Vinod Kumar said.
Later, villagers gathered at the spot and set afire two tractors and a bulldozer and demanded compensation for the family of victims.
Senior police officers have reached the spot and were trying to control the situation, said Kumar.
