The Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta police today arrested a secretary and assistant sub inspector (ASI) of Krishi Upaj Mandi in Manawar town of Dhar district while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000 from a trader.
Superintendent of Police Dilip Soni said Lokayukta police caught the secretary of Manawar's Krishi Upaj Mandi, Tarachand Badole red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000.
Similarly, the police also arrested Mandi's ASI Rakesh Hirve along with Badole while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000, Soni said.

Soni said the trader had complained that Badole and Hirve had asked for the bribe in exchange of giving concession in determining the tax and imposing a penalty of lesser amount on the annual return of 2016-17 filed by him.
He said that the Lokayukta police team laid a trap and caught them.
A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against Badole and Hirve.
