Two Naxals, including a woman, were arrested from separate places in Chhattisgarh's insurgency-hit Kanker district, police said today.
A prominent Maoist cadre Shashikala Vadde (21), who was active on Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh border, was apprehended from Bande police station limits last evening, a senior police official told PTI.
Acting on a tip-off about the presence of Vadde at her native place Tiralgadh, a team of local police mobilised towards the spot, located around 300 kms away from the state capital, he said.

After encircling the village amid dense forests, Vadde was nabbed from the place, the official added.
She was deployed as a member of Kasansur LOS (local operation squad) under North Gadchiroli division of the outlawed CPI (Maoist).
She has been involved in several major Naxal incidents, including attack on police personnel at Bhamragad police station limits of Gadchiroli district (Maharashtra) leaving a jawan dead and two others injured, he said.
In another incident, a lower rung cadre - Somlal Kallo (31) was arrested from Badgaon police station limits of the district during a search operation last evening, he said, adding that the duo was being interrogated.
