Two absconding Nigerians, wanted in a murder case in Delhi, were arrested by the local police here in the district this afternoon.

A tip-off had been received from Delhi Police that the two had gone to Jalandhar in Punjab, booked a car and were heading towards Guwahati, Superintendent of Police Rajiv Mishra said.

"Delhi Police was keeping a tab on their movements by tracking their mobile phones. The Nigerians had been dodging policemen at all checkposts in various districts en route but were finally nabbed in Kurlikot police station area here," the SP said.

He said a police team spotted the vehicle at NH-327E, seized the car and took the Nigerians into custody.

The Delhi Police has been informed about it, the SP added.
