Two persons of a family were today electrocuted when they came in contact with water in which a live wire had fallen during last night's storm in Medinipur West district, the police said.
Sajjan Rout of Digar village under Kharagpur police station found a puddle of water in front of his house this morning following rain and storm last night.
In order to clear the water, he came forward and stepped on the water and got electrocuted, the police said adding his nephew Arun rushed to him but he was also electrocuted.
A live electric wire got snapped during storm and fell into the puddle which nobody had noticed.
