: Two pairs of special trains between Chennai Egmore and Tirunelveli on two different routes - one pair via Vriddhachalam and another via Thanjavur - Mayiladuthurai will be run to clear the extra rush of passengers.
The special trains from Tirunelveli to Chennai will be superfast trains.
A Railway press release here said The special trains between between Tirunelveli-Chennai Egmore via Thanjavur, Mayiladuthurai would be operated on September 14 from Tirunelveli and the next day from Chennai Egmore.
The train would leave Tirunelveli at 18.15 hrs and reach Egmore the next day at 07.15 hrs. From Chennai, the special will leave Chennai Egmore at 22.45 hrs. On Sept 15 and reach Tirunelveli at 12.30 hrs the next day.
Special trains would be run between Tirunelveli-Chennai Egmore via Vriddhachalam) on Sept 11 from Tirunelveli and Sept 12 from Chennai Egmore.
The release said the Tirunelveli-Chennai Egmore superfast special would leave Tirunelveli at 21.15 hrs on Sept 11 and reach Chennai Egmore at 09.00 hrs the next day. In the return direction, it would leave Chennai Egmore at 21.05 hrs. On Sept 12 and reach Tirunelveli at 09.45 hrs. The next day, the release said.
