2 paramilitary force jawans commit suicide in Assam

A head constable of the Border Security Force (BSF) allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself at Panbari in Dhubri district.

Official sources said the BSF man, Mohan Lal (32), hailed from Jaipur in Rajasthan.

Lal was on duty at the BSF's base hospital inside the Panbari Camp around noon today when he allegedly shot himself with his service rifle. He died on the spot.

The cause of his alleged suicide is yet to be ascertained.

He had rejoined duty at the BSF's Panbari Camp yesterday after spending a two-month leave at his native place.

This is the second suicide by a paramilitary force personnel in Assam today.

 

A CRPF jawan, Biplab Ghosh, allegedly committed suicide at a camp in Chirang district by shooting himself with his service revolver.

The jawan was rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Ghosh hailed from Burdwan district of West Bengal and the cause of his alleged suicide is yet to be ascertained, the sources added.
