Two persons were arrested today and 90 grams of cannabis recovered from their possession here, a police officer said.
The accused, identified as Mohammad Arif Sheikh and Rihan Ahmed Kitchloo were arrested along with the cannabis at Iqbal Chowk when they were returning to their homes in Kishtwar district, he said.
They were planning to sell the contraband to the youth in Kishtwar area, he said.
Both the accused were arrested and booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act with Pir Mitha police, the officer said.
An investigation is on in the matter, the officer added.
