Two suspected pickpockets were arrested at the Kashmere Gate metro station here and a stolen mobile phone was recovered from them, police said today.

Mohd Zubair (25) and Arbaz (19) are residents of Farash Khanna and were found roaming suspiciously on the metro station by security staff, they added.

These two pickpockets were nabbed by a team of four policemen and the phone was recovered from them.

It was found that the phone was stolen by them from a person travelling between Chandni Chowk and Kashmere Gate metro stations last week, police said.

During interrogation, it was found the accused had been operating for the past one year at all crowded public places and targeting passengers who were in hurry, they added.
