2 pilgrims die in Rameswaram; body of woman washes ashore

Two pilgrims to this holy island town today died following heart attack in separate incidents, police said.

47-year old Chinnasamy from Dindigul suffered a heart attack while walking on a road near the famous Lord Ramanathaswamy temple along with his family members and declared brought dead at a hospital, they said.

In the other incident, 64-year old Kalaivanan from Cuddalore also collapsed on a road and died of heart attack, police said.

Meanwhile, the body of an aged woman was found washed ashore in the sea here, police said adding investigations were on to identify her.
