Ten people, including two policemen, have been arrested on charges of peddling drugs such as heroin and cannabis in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, the police said today.
During a routine check on the Mughal Road at Thanamandi, a police party intercepted three vehicles and searched them, a senior official said.
"Drugs such as heroin, cannabis and poppy were seized from their possession. The two policeman along with eight others were involved in drug peddling," he said

Thirty-six grams of heroin, 30 grams of cannabis and 4.5 kg of poppy were seized. A case has been registered in this regard, the official said.
Special Grade Constable Imtiaz Ahmed and Constable Shahwaz Mirza posted at the District Police Lines at Rajouri were arrested, the official said.
