2 Raj constables suspended for involvement in illegal mining

Two constables were suspended today for their alleged involvement in illegal gypsum mining in Bikaner district, police said.

Earlier, Bikaner Police had attached constables Ugmaram and Pawan Kumar to police line following complaints received against them for their alleged association with gangs involved in illegal gypsum mining.

Later, a separate probe confirmed their involvement in illegal mining.

"We have suspended the constables and their externment from the district is under process," Bikaner SP, Amandeep Singh Kapoor said.

Dantoor SHO Rani Dan has also been attached to district police lines in Ajmer as several illegal mining complaints were received from Dantoor police state jurisdiction till pending inquiry against him.
 

His charge has been handed over to Mahaveer Sharma, a trainee RPS officer.
