Two clerks of Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) were today arrested for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 22,000 from a driver of their department in Sriganganagar district.

Upper Division Clerk Om Prakash of the RSRTC, posted in the office of Chief Manager in Sriganganagar, had demanded the bribe from driver Kashiram, against whom a departmental inquiry is pending, a senior ACB official said.

The illegal gratification was sought for favouring the driver in the inquiry.

"After verification of the complaint, a trap was laid. Today, the UDC called the complainant with the bribe in the office and asked him to hand over the money to Junior clerk Anil Kumar.

"As he gave the money, both the clerks were held by the ACB team. They were placed under arrest," IG ACB Smita Srivastava said.
