Two of the three robbers, who fled with a booty worth lakh of rupees after breaking a locked house in Bisani-Pada area here, were arrested by police within five hours of the crime, an official said today.
Three robbers had yesterday barged into a house in absence of the owner and fled with forty silver coins, a number of gold-silver jewellery items and utensils worth lakh of rupees apart from Rs 80,000 in cash, he said.
Vijay Kumar, brother of the house's owner, had lodged an FIR in this regard, he said, adding two of the accused Vijay Puri and Ramesh were arrested from a housing board colony area here within five hours of the crime.
Both have confessed to their crime and the booty was recovered from them, he said. A search is on to nab the third accused, he said.
