2 robbers of a gang held

With the arrest of two persons, police today claimed to have busted a gang of robbers active in Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad.

Deepak Panwar and Rajesh Panwar, residents of Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh, were arrested and a stolen car, two country-made pistols, a motorbike and Rs 10,000 was recovered from their possession, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, the duo was arrested from Vasundra area, they said.

"On information that the duo was coming towards Vasundra Sector 1, police laid a trap and arrested them. They had robbed a car on January 25 near Vaishali Metro Station, which has been recovered," a police officer said.
 

The two accused are wanted in several loot cases and they were planning to loot cash van of a bank, the officer said.
