At least two security personnel and three terrorists were killed today in a gun battle that erupted after the rebels attacked a checkpost in the restive northwest Pakistan.
Unknown terrorists attacked Khadim Shaheed Checkpost in Daryoba area of Bannu frontier bordering North Waziristan Agency and killed two security personnel in a gun battle that lasted for an hour, security officials said.
The terrorists fled from the scene after picking bodies of their accomplices, officials said.
The bodies of slain security personnel were shifted to the Combined Military Hospital and a search operation has been launched in the area.
