Two contract-based teachers today climbed atop a 100-feet water tank here with petrol filled bottles and threatened to commit suicide if their colleagues were not released, police said.
However, they were brought down by officials who assured them of looking into their demands.
The two Education Guarantee Scheme (EGS) teachers had come here to protest against the arrest of their eleven colleagues in Bhatinda, they said.

Nishant Kumar, Vice President of state unit of EGS teachers union, and Paramjit Singh alongwith others staged a protest rally in Shalimar garden here, police said.
Later the two, went to the nearby civil hospital and climbed up the water tank, they said.
Police reached the spot and assured them of looking into their demands, following which they came down.
