Though the incident occurred at Thursday night, police were informed only last evening as the villagers were scared of more attacks by Maoists, Yadav said.
As the incident took place in a naxal-affected area, police could not reach the spot owing to darkness.
A police team went there this morning but by that time the bodies were cremated by the victims' family members, the police officer said.
