A 25-year old woman was electrocuted at Kulpi in South 24 Parganas district after coming in contact with snapped live wire during a thunderstorm, they said.
In Birbhum district's Dubrajpur area a woman died after the mud wall of her hut collapsed during heavy rains.
The squall also lashed other districts in southern parts of the state, reeling under sweltering heat for past couple of days.
