Two women were killed and four others suffered serious injuries after a wall adjoining a Ganesh pandal fell on them at a village near here, police said on Thursday.
The incident occurred in Bamura Kunj village late Wednesday night when the women were worshipping the elephant- headed god, inspector of Rehli police station, Ramavtar Chourha, said.
The deceased were identified as Munni Bai (50) and Mulla Bai (75), he said.
"The women were offering prayers to Lord Ganesh at the pandal when the adjoining wall fell on them. Four other women suffered serious injuries in the incident. They are undergoing treatment at a district hospital," he said.
