Two women were allegedly raped in separate areas of the city, police said today.
A 30-year-old woman living with her kid alleged that Manoj (30) raped her for the last three years on the pretext of providing her a job in VanVihar colony in Idgah area, they said.
When she insisted for the job which he had promised, he also beat her up, police said.
An FIR has been lodged for manhandling and rape, the Galtagate police said, adding, investigation is on.
In another case, a married woman was allegedly raped by 20-year-old Shafiphool, a rickshaw-puller, when she was alone at her house on June 22 in Sudamapuri area, Shashtrinagar police said.
A rape case has been registered against the accused, police added.
