2 women sent to judicial custody for wearing stolen jewellery

Two women were today sent to 14 days judicial custody by a local court after they were found wearing jewellery allegedly stolen by their husbands, police said today.

A top jewellery showroom was looted allegedly by armed miscreants last month. Haryana's Karnal police had nabbed Mukeem Kala and Sabir in this connection but they managed to flee from police custody, said Nitin Tiwari, Superintendent of Police Saharanpur.

Later, police nabbed Mukeem Kala's wife Yasmeen and Sabir's wife Zulfaana. They both were found wearing the looted jewellery at the time of arrest, he said.

The duo was produced in court today which sent them to 14 days judicial custody.
