2 youth arrested for threatening a girl with acid attack

Two youths were arrested today for allegedly threatening a 22-year-old girl with acid attack here, police said.

The victim, who works as a teacher in Kandhla town, was approached by four youths who were following her yesterday. When she refused to give heed to their advances, the accused threatened her with acid attack, police said.

A case has been registered against four youths Purmit, Firoz, Vishal and Kush, all in their mid 20s, police said, adding that Vishal and Kush, were arrested and sent to 14-day judicial custody after a court order.
