Two youths have been arrested for allegedly being involved in several robbery and snatching cases in Delhi and Ghaziabad, police said today.
The crime branch of Delhi Police claimed that Amit (23) and Aman Sharma (22) had, along with their associates, robbed Rs 1.2 lakh at gunpoint from a businessman here on the evening of December 31, 2013.
The duo, who were arrested yesterday from the Nand Nagri area here, confessed during questioning that they were involved in various cases of snatching in the Ghaziabad area, police said, adding that a two-wheeler has been seized from their possession.
"The accused disclosed that, along with their associates, they were involved in a series of robberies in Delhi and Ghaziabad," said the Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime), Ravindra Yadav.
A search is now on to nab their associates, he added.
