Two youths died here after they allegedly jumped in front of two oncoming trains near village Sapror railway crossing under Phagwara-Chaheru section, police said today.
The deceased, identified as Kulwinder Singh, 35, and Rakesh Kumar alias Ricky, 23, were residents of nearby Hardaspur village, they said.
The incident occurred last night when Kulwinder jumped infront of Amritsar-New Delhi Superfast Express while Rakesh died under Mumbai-Jammu Tavi Superfast Express, police said.
Following the post-mortem, the bodies were handed over to the families, police said, adding the youths were reportedly addicted to intoxicants.
