Two unidentified youths fired in the air when a livestock trader refused to sell fish to them at a price of their choice.

The duo came to the fish market near APC Road in north Kolkata early this morning and asked the price of Catla variety of fish from a trader, Jhalak Show.

Finding the price quoted by the trader steep, they haggled for a lower price but Show not budge, following which they snatched the entire stock of 10 kg fish at gun point.

When other traders tried to stop the youths, they fired a shot in the air and fled with the livestock. No one was injured in the incident.

Further investigations are on to nab the culprits.
