Twenty persons, including 12 women, have been arrested on charge of flesh trade from a locality under Bahadurganj police station area in Bihar's Kishanganj district, a police official said today.
Acting on a tip off, the police raided brothels in Prem Nagar locality last night and arrested 20 persons, including eight sex workers, six customers and six brothel owners, four of them women, Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajiv Ranjan told reporters.
Of eight sex workers nabbed, three were minors and found to be mentally unstable, he said.

Expressing resolve to eliminate flesh trade in the district, the SP said that all those involved in such illegal activities will be arrested soon and their properties confiscated by the authorities.
Ranjan candidly admitted that the flesh trade industry was quite active in the border district with network spread as far as to Bihar, West Bengal and Nepal.
