At least 20 students of a civic school in Bhiwandi town of the district were injured when a slab in a classroom crashed on them this morning, police said.
At around 9 AM, the slab in the classroom of Telugu School at Padma Nagar in Bhiwandi fell on the students of Class VIII causing injuries to them, Bhiwandi police station's head constable M F More said.
The students were rushed to MGM Hospital at Bhiwandi and were being treated for injuries, he said.
The children were reported to be out of danger, More said.
Police personnel and firemen from Bhiwandi reached the school for assistance and evacuation of students, he added.
