: A 20-year man today drowned in Bhavani river in Mettupalayam, about 40 km from here, today, where he has gone to take a bath.
Shivakumar, along with his friend, Vijay, both residents of Punjam Puliapatti, had visited Vana Bhadrakaliamman Temple and had gone to the river for a bath, police said.
However, Shivakumar met with watery grave, as he had ventured too far and drowned, they said.
