A 20-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped by three persons of her village at her home in Mawana area here, police said today.
The incident occured yesterday when three villagers entered the woman's house and gangraped her, Mawana police station in-charge Surendra Bhati said, adding that she was also beaten.
A case has been registered against Murasleen, Shahdaab and Musarif by the woman's family and she has been sent for medical examination, Bhati said.
He said that investigation in the matter is underway.
