200 hens killed in road mishap in UP

Two hundred hens were killed when a mini-truck in which they were being transported was hit by a vehicle from behind in Talheri buzurg village here, police said.

The incident occurred last night when the mini-truck's driver identified as Nabbu Khan, a resident of Muzaffarnagar, was transporting the hens, Additional Superintendent of Police (rural) Jagdish Sharma said.

The vehicle carrying the hens was hit by a truck from behind due to which it overturned, he said.

Nabbu was injured in the accident while 200 hens died on the spot, the ASP said.
