The Assurances Committee of Delhi Assembly has found that among 38 assurances made by various departments in 2015-17, 21 were fulfilled and 16 were pending.
In a report, the committee, chaired by AAP MLA Jitender Singh Tomar, noted "considerable improvement in the efforts and seriousness" on the part of the departments concerned in fulfilling assurances.
The report of the committee was tabled in the House last week.
According to the report, a total of 38 assurances were considered by the committee -- 21 were treated as fulfilled, one was dropped and 16 were kept pending.
The PWD topped the list with six fulfilled assurances whereas in the pending category the maximum number of assurances (six) belonged to the Health department.
The nine-member committee scrutinises the assurances, promises and undertakings given by the ministers concerned on the floor of the House, and reports implementation of the same.
