A 21-year-old nursing student was mowed down by a car today on B2 bypass here, police said.
The deceased, identified as Seema Choudhary, was hit by a car near Baba Balaknath Asharam here while she along with her father was going to buy milk. Her father was a little bit away, they said.
She was rushed to Jaipuria Hospital where the doctors declared her dead on arrival.
The car, however, managed to flee from the spot but the police had got its registration number from the deceased's father, officials said.
The deceased was staying with her mother and sister, while her father came from Tonk district to meet the family.
