As many as 217 FIRs have been lodged, registration of 45 ultrasound centres cancelled and 57 centres sealed this year in Haryana to check violation of Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act .
Renu S Phulia, Director, Women and Child Development, stated this while speaking at the day-long 'Sensitisation training of master trainers on beti bachao beti padhao' programme here today.
Strict action is being taken against violators of the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act, 1994, she said.

Phulia said the sensitisation training programme would help in more effective implementation of the schemes of the department.
She said in Haryana, the sex ratio at birth has crossed the 900-mark after the implementation of the ambitious 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' programme.
