21st convocation of YCMOU held

Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao today presided over the 21st convocation of the Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University here this morning.

A total of 1,32,327 students from various faculties received degrees this year.

Information technology expert Vijay Bhatkar, water resources minister Girish Mahajan and YCMOU vice-chancellor Dr Manikrao Salunkhe were present on this occasion.

Twenty students received their PhDs today.

Among those who received the degrees were 39 prisoners from various jails.
