A 22-year-old man died as lightning struck him today while two other sustained critical burn injuries in three separate incidents, police said.
The deceased person has been identified as Prasant Swain (52) from Dhiabalrampur village under Kendrapara sadar police station jurisdiction.
One man from Kendrapara towns was injured following lightning strike while another person was also injured in Marshaghai, police added.
In another freak mishap, a 52-year-old man died as he accidentally fell into a well near Tini Muhani area of the township. The deceased has been identified as Dangua Sethy, a native of Gulnagar locality, police said.
