22-year-old man killed after speeding car hits him in Wazirabad area, two arrested

A 22-year-old man was killed after a speeding car hit him on a flyover in North Delhi's Wazirabad area, police said on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Rishabh, a resident of Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh, they said.

He was staying with his friend Krishna Kant (22) here in Wazirabad and was preparing for various competitive examination, the police said.

They said Rishabh and his friend Krishna were sitting on a divider on Jagatpur Flyover after having dinner on Monday when a speeding black SX4 car hit Rishabh.

Rishabh was rushed to the Trauma Centre in Civil Lines where he was declared brought dead, a senior police officer said.

 

During investigation, it was revealed that one Arbaz (21), a resident of Wazirabad, was driving the car while one Mustab (21), a Harsh Vihar resident, was sitting next to him, police said.

According to a senior police officer, the car occupants were drunk at the time of the accident and were arrested.
