The victim was found hanging from a ceiling fan by her sister-in-law this morning, police said adding no suicide note was found there.
The woman, Anjali Srivastav, who hails from Chhattra in Bihar, had come to the city a week ago for further studies and was staying with her brother in Kandavili, police said.
Anjali was later taken to hospital where she was declared brought dead.
According to police, Anjali's brother Vikas told them that she did not seem upset over anything and the entire family, including her, had gone to Juhu beach on Sunday.
Police suspect the incident might have been a fallout of a love affair.
