22-yr-old foreign student dies after falling from 3rd floor

A 22-year-old foreign student today succumbed to his injuries after he allegedly fell from the third floor of a building near a private university at Chaheru along National highway-1, police said today.

Sunil Sharma, in-charge police post Chaheru, today said the deceased was identified as Albert Mategate, a native of Tanzania, an east African country.

He was pursuing IT diploma from a private university here, Sharma said.

Albert had gone to meet his friend in the PG House near the university on the intervening night of January 26 and 27 and slipped from the stairs due to rain and had a fatal fall, the officer said.
 

Tanzania embassy was informed immediately and the body was handed over to embassy officials after post-mortem at civil hospital Phagwara, Sharma said.
