At least 24 students were injured today when a school bus overturned near Mathania village in Bihar's Gopalganj district, a police officer said.
The mishap took place as the bus carrying students of Balwant Sagar International School lost control and overturned resulting in injuries to at least 24 students, Vishambharpur police station in-charge Gautam Kumar said.
The injured were brought to Sadar hospital where the condition of two of them was stated to be serious, he said.
The driver escaped from the spot by abandoning the bus and the injured children, Kumar said.
