As many as 24 construction workers died last year, Rajya Sabha was informed today.
The maximum number of five deaths in the construction sector were reported from Maharashtra, Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Kodikunnil Suresh said in a written reply.
A total of 36 construction workers died in 2011, while 45 lost their lives in 2010, he said.
